About the Role

The post holder will support the delivery of C40’s UKAID programme at global and regional levels. The Programme Officer will be an organized and proactive individual who will join and support the team to help coordinate and facilitate the delivery of the UKAID programme to 15 cities in different regions of the Global South. They are: Bogota, Medellín, Lima, Guadalajara, Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur, Quezon City, Jakarta, Tswhane, Johannesburg, Addis Ababa, Accra, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Lagos. The UKAID Programme Programme Officer combines strong analysis and administrative skills. The ideal candidate will have strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint and Excel mainly), a high degree of comfort coordinating multiple stakeholders (including city staff and consultants) as well as some international experience. They will be excellent problem-solvers, able to keep track of multiple tasks and processes simultaneously.

What You're Gonna Do

Responsibilities: - Provide overall administrative support to global/regional teams, including event coordination, meeting organization, logistics, coordinating internal trainings, minutes and document preparation, draft presentations, etc - Ensure effective coordination between UKAID CAI Programme teams, other internal C40 teams, city staff and consultants - Support procurement and financial tracking processes - Support project management and work tracking, ensuring information is available, organized, easy to access and up to date - Support other internal C40 and UKAID CAI Programme processes - Prepare progress reports for management team and funders - Provide guidance and support to cities, including development of learning resources and case studies - Support creation of clear and updated documents and presentations of the programme for the regional and global teams; - Help preparing job descriptions for the global and regional staff, working with Programme Heads of Implementation - Additional duties as requested.

About You

Person Specification: - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Experience in virtual environments and working from home arrangements - Experience supporting senior teams in day-to-day activities - Good problem-solving, strategic thinking and analytical capabilities - Strong data management skills in MS Excel and other relevant tools - Expertise in event planning and management - Expertise and/or interest in workshop preparation and facilitation, including preparation and design of presentations in Ms PowerPoint and related resources. - Efficient and effective administrative skills and experience - Experience in government, business or NGO sectors with a focus on cities, sustainability and/or climate change - International experience working across different cultures, languages and time zones - Excellent written and spoken English is a requirement. Additional local language skills are encouraged, particularly for regional Programme Officers.
