About the Role

Gehl is seeking candidates for paid, full-time apprenticeships in our studios in New York City and San Francisco for the summer of 2020. Applicants should be recent graduates or entering their final year of studies in a Masters program in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture. As an interdisciplinary firm that works across design, policy, strategy and research we seek candidates who have demonstrated interest and experience developing projects that span across disciplines and celebrate people-first urbanism. While spatial skills and graphic skills are essential to this position, we are especially interested in candidates that can demonstrate an interest in social science, environmental policy, or public health. Send your CV, cover letter, and portfolio or selected works (10 pages max) by February 20th. Your application should highlight your interest in urbanism and experience and proficiency with design software and graphic visualization (such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUP, or other programs), analysis, writing, sketching, working collaboratively, and strategic thinking and storytelling.
