About us

At Voi, we use innovation and creative thinking to design the solutions of tomorrow – today. By offering a radically new approach to urban mobility, we revolutionise the way people move around, for greener cities and healthier communities, fueled by passion. Our vision is a shift towards an urban mobility paradigm focused on community, inclusivity, environment and climate rather than individual car use. We aim for a tomorrow in which city dwellers live and move in a safe and healthy environment with less pollution, less noise and less stress. The future we see is a sustainable one where circularity is the norm and shared mobility the way to go. Where individuals, businesses and governments alike take responsibility and strive to reduce their climate impact, help to protect our planet and contribute to more liveable cities for all. — Since being established in 2018, Voi has grown into one of Europe’s leading micromobility companies. Our network now extends across the continent, and we take great pride in the creativity and diversity of our talented people, who drive our innovation and continued growth. Discover more at Voi.com.

Remember when we hit our milestone of 250 million rides in Europe this week? Well, today we're celebrating 20 million rides in Berlin and 8 million rides in Munich! Altogether, this accounts for about 11% of all trips taken - wow! This achievement highlights the pivotal role of shared micromobility in shaping the transportation landscape of these dynamic cities. 🛴 Integral to the Transport System: In Berlin alone, over 32 million kilometers have been traveled on Voi scooters, equivalent to circling the globe over 800 times! Notably, a majority of rides occur in the outer districts, highlighting the e-scooters' vital contribution to the city's public transport network. 🤝 Deeply integrated into the public transport networks: In Munich, Voi is one of the few providers to be fully integrated into MVG's public transport service. In Berlin, a Voi ride can be booked via the Jelbi app. 🅿️ Both Munich and Berlin exemplify the importance of gradually expanding parking infrastructure to enhance order and meet demand. Munich has set up what is probably the densest station-based sharing system in Germany in its city center. Meanwhile, Berlin's Jelbi has deployed over 120 stations, with plans for further expansion. We're excited to continue shaping mobility history in these remarkable cities.

🛴 NeTEx for alternative modes: Setting the Standard! 🌟 NeTEx is a Transmodel standard originally developed to facilitate interoperability and integration of public transport in the regulatory context of the Delegated Regulation MMTIS (EU)2017/1926. The scope however expanded (part 5) to include all modes of demand responsive transport, also referred to as the “alternative modes” (e.g. bike and scooter-sharing, bike-hire, shuttle bus, taxi, car-sharing, car-hire…). Today, we are proud to spotlight Voi Technology, an important European micromobility provider operating in Brussels. VOI has recently taken a pioneering step by becoming the first private company in Belgium to register a NeTEx dataset for alternative modes on Transportdata.be. Our NAP Helpdesk together with DATA4PT project assisted VOI with the conversion where necessary. You can check out the result here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eWWgsCGa By leveraging NeTEx, VOI has not only enhanced accessibility to their mobility services but has also paved the way for smoother integration into third-party applications. This move underscores their dedication to seamless mobility solutions and sets a new benchmark for the industry. 🚀 We would like to thank VOI for the excellent cooperation. 🙏 Feeling inspired to make a change in your micromobility operations? Rental e-scooters like ours are safer than private e-scooters. Electric scooters available for rent often have larger wheels and better suspension. In addition, the steering ability and braking system are sharper, which makes the rental variants safer, according to research just published by Chalmers University, in Sweden. “They can brake much faster, and then it becomes easier to avoid an accident,” says researcher Marco Dozza. Safety is our top priority at Voi and we do all we can to keep our e-scooters safe, from regular maintenance checks and repairs and handling our batteries safely to minimise fire risk, to bringing in innovative new designs with safety features….such as larger front wheels.
