🔍𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 At the halfway mark, our Consortium is deeply engaged in collaborating with local stakeholders to drive inclusive energy transformation. We're committed to adopting an integrated and participatory approach for PED strategies, tackling challenges like refining co-creation methodologies, aligning data-driven assessments with strategic decision-making, and establishing Energy Communities. 🌱𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼-𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 for demo cities is a challenging process. The stakeholder helix, involving municipal departments, local actors, experts, and regulatory bodies, varies across cities based on their transformative potentials and regulatory frameworks. 🌱𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 are major challenges for KINETIC. Efforts have been focused on harmonizing data-driven assessments with strategic decision-making. Building assessment algorithms capable of handling multi-criterial inputs is a top priority. Unique data challenges are being addressed as cities prepare for workshops to contextualize potential measures derived from data assessments. 🌱𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 for establishing Energy Communities remains challenging due to legislative barriers and gaps in Denmark and Romania. In #LandUsePlanning and #LandManagement, decisions taken in one place and time can affect the outcomes and scope of decisions taken elsewhere, resulting in a mismatch between the people with a voice and the people who are impacted. In PLUS Change, we combine an understanding of land use change (and its impacts) with a nuanced understanding of the winners & losers of decisions/actions, as well as the structural drivers of inequality. By integrating #ethics, #equity and #justice throughout the project, we strive to develop interventions and outcomes that are inclusive, representative, and culturally-sensitive. As part of Work Package 1 (dedicated to supporting #transdisciplinary integration) Guido Caniglia and Marina Knickel of the KLI team are guiding the project partners through interactive webinars to reflect and learn whether/how such issues are considered in land use change processes.
