Required Education:
A Bachelor’s degree is required
Preferred Education:
Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Journalism
Required Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 3 years or more of relevant experience with project management and/or program management working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders. Relevant event and/or conference planning experience is also required.
Preferred Experience:
Related experience in an academic, research, or government environment. Experience in a fast paced, executive-level environment is preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
A creative self-starter who is entrepreneurial and detail oriented. Excellent problem-solving, writing, and communication skills. Must demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills, as well as interpersonal skills such as relationship building and an ability to work well with others. The ability to multitask and prioritize work is also needed. Critical thinking with the ability to conceive and implement strategies, policies, and processes to assist the Dean, Wagner leadership, faculty, and University offices with projects and initiatives. Knowledge of the NYC environment desirable.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office suite, event and conference planning. Experience with PM tools is a plus.
