About Us

The Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership is an intergovernmental research and
innovation programme addressing key challenges of urban transitions. Its ambition is to shape
and facilitate an innovation eco-system for all urban actors to engage in and benefit from. DUT is
a catalyst for transformational change that engages stakeholders in the strategic agenda setting,
development and implementation of annual calls, and synthesizes, communicates, and translates
the results of funded projects into practice.

IQ Samhällsbyggnad (The Swedish Centre for Innovation and Quality in the Built Environment)
is responsible for communication and dissemination within the DUT Partnership. IQ
Samhällsbyggnad is a Swedish member organization for companies and organizations in the
built environment sector that combines research and innovation issues with cross-border
collaboration.

About the Role

IQ Samhällsbyggnad is enhancing the DUT programme's formats to synthesize, convey, and
tailor research and innovation outcomes for greater impact, with a specific focus on storytelling.
We are therefore looking for an individual intrigued by urban transition matters and who is
curious to be part of a dynamic team.

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in refining the programme's tone and narratives to foster
outreach, promote dialogue, and create engagement for sustainable transitions? Do you thrive
on the challenge of disseminating the latest research findings to political decision-makers,
planners, consultants, and interest groups in both Europe and Sweden? Are you enthusiastic
about developing formats and digital tools for content analysis and synthesis? Are you a skilled
writer in English? If so, this position might be the right fit for you.

What You're Gonna Do

We are seeking a skilled content creator and communicator who is eager to take on the role as
an "in-house journalist" and editor. In this role you will execute target-specific communication
activities that contribute to achieving the programme' goals. This role entails activity planning,
report writing, web and newsletter publication, seminar moderation, and ongoing coordination
and interaction with our European partners, researchers, and programme stakeholders.

About You

We expect candidates to have a university degree with a focus on communication, journalism, or
an equivalent field, or alternatively, another relevant higher education degree.

  • Experience in working with web publishing tools and social media.
  • Experience in conveying and making knowledge accessible, preferably in research and
    innovation contexts.

The position requires proficiency in English, both spoken and written, and a good command of
spoken and written Swedish.

It is also advantageous if you have an interest in and experience with:

  • Working within a European organization
  • Developing digital tools for content analysis and synthesis (including AI)

Personal attributes we highly value include taking initiative, having the ability to work independently and results-oriented with attention to detail. Moreover, you are cooperative, have a service-oriented mindset and the ability to build relationships. You should enjoy teamwork and sharing your knowledge. The pace can be demanding at times, requiring prioritization and adherence to deadlines.

We will especially consider personal traits in this recruitment.
