About Us

We are catalysts for locally-led community engagement & collaborative design in Barking and Dagenham.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented, part time Healthy Street Designer to join our team to lead the collaborative design process and produce concept designs for Healthy Streets interventions in Dagenham. This is a new role, collaborating with Be First / London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in the delivery of a TfL funded, pioneering Low Emission Neighbourhood programme: 'Greening the Fiddlers'. Taking this exciting and innovative project forward, the successful candidate will be supported to:

  • Creative engagement within a neighbourhood setting in Dagenham, focussing on schools, businesses and local residents
  • Facilitate collaborative design of a range of Healthy Street interventions and a new public space in a car dominated environment
  • Develop concept designs for both small and large scale changes alongside project partners

This part-time role will be two days a week and the pro rata salary is £33,600. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a fast moving and dynamic organisation, working in new ways to put people at the heart of spaces and places to create a better future for everyone.

International Candidates

We’re not fully sure whether this role is open to international candidates. If you would need visa sponsorship or work authorisation, we recommend checking directly with the employer before applying.
