Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background; the intern's assigned office as well as the internship period.
Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Risk Reduction Unit – Head of the City Resilience Profiling Programme (CRPP) and the supporting supervision of the Coordinator, Tool Development and Implementation of the CRPP, the intern will:
- Support the calibration of the existing diagnostic tools on urban resilience used by the Programme through the assessment, analysis, calculation, and/or improvement of urban resilience indicators
applied to the participating cities of the Programme.
- Assist in the implementation of the diagnostic tools on urban resilience to the participating cities of the Programme, including by using Geographic Information System (GIS).
- Assist in analyzing and summarizing the outcomes of the application of the diagnostic tools to the participating cities.
- Assist in the writing, design, graphics and development of contents to be used by the Programme.
- Assist in the research, revision, analysis, and/or compilation of effective initiatives and best practices on building urban resilience.
- Undertake any other tasks for the Programme, which are in line with the experience of the intern.
