Our Future Mobility team specifically supports transport authorities and operators to understand the impact of trends and new solutions, and how to efficiently integrate them in their ecosystem to contribute positively towards their sustainability strategies. Within those focused areas, we deliver a broad portfolio of consulting services from developing & managing EU-wide collaborative projects, to realising local pilot projects and demonstrations.
Bax & Company is currently seeking candidates for an internship position for our Future Mobility team. We are looking for current students, ideally for whom an internship forms part of the curriculum. As an Intern, you will be supporting our consultants with client-facing assignments involving European project management and communication, pilot development and conceptualising new initiatives.
Your activities will include working closely with one or two other B&C consultants, as well as with clients and other parties that B&C collaborates with in its assignments. You will perform your activities from our headquarters office in Barcelona.
We seek ambitious fast-learning candidates that have affinity with technology, business and innovation and the strong drive for a fast professional growth in a small and highly specialized consultancy firm.
• Background and profile: an on-going BSc/MSc in transport, urban planning, urban studies or urban design is required. We look for profiles reflecting strong interest in active and multimodal transport, and the intersection between transport, urban planning, and sustainability.
• Languages: truly fluent English, both written and oral, is essential (almost all of our assignments are performed in English). Additionally, we value fluency in our client native languages such as Spanish, Dutch, German and French.
• Writing skills: good writing skills are essential; we need you to enjoy and be good at creating convincing argumentations, easily translating complex technical concepts into clear and compelling business language.
• Soft skills: we expect a great deal of autonomy and pro-activity, being able to communicate professionally with partners and clients, managing and leading discussions and public presentations. Organisational skills are also important, being able to plan and prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
• Relevant experience and additional expertise: it will be a strong plus for candidates proving relevant professional experience in the domain of Future Mobility, either in consultancy or other innovation positions.
