KAAN Architecten is a Rotterdam, São Paulo and Paris based architectural firm operating in a global context and merging practical and academic expertise within the fields of architecture, urbanism and research on the built environment.

KAAN Architecten is looking for a junior business developer to join the Business Development department in the Rotterdam office. The candidate will work closely with the Head of Business Development.

• explore potential new client types and markets;
• actively keep up with new architectural business opportunities;
• prepare and/or assist at public tenders, requests for information, requests for proposal and requests for quotation;
• collecting and compiling content for presentations and other commercial expressions;
• support the design and PR department with updating the office portfolio;
• prepare award submissions;

• bachelor or master’s degree in architecture, urban design, real estate, entrepreneurship or equivalent;
• excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, spoken and written;
• speaking and writing French and/or German is an asset;
• professional experience in the field of business development, acquisition, commerce or comparable
• good knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite with excellent skills in InDesign and Illustrator;
• creative commercial thinking;
• disciplined, flexible, hands-on and proactive attitude;
• profound multitasking and organizational abilities;
• representative, comfortable and skilled in communication;
• an eye for graphic design;
• knowledge and affinity with the work of KAAN Architecten and the architecture market

The position will be awarded for 40 hours per week. The salary will depend on the proven professional experience according to the Dutch CAO.
