moovel Group GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, has set itself the goal of simplifying mobility in cities and improving people’s quality of life. With its mobility-as-a-service platform, moovel offers cities and transit authorities a toolbox they can use to help integrate various mobility providers.

The MaaS platform can also be used to optimize a city’s traffic flow. moovel refers to this as an “operating system for urban mobility”. One of the most important components of this operating system is the mobility app – an interface between cities, transit authorities, and end users. This allows users to book and pay for public transportation tickets, as well as other mobility options such as car sharing, ridehailing, and rental bikes.

Hi, I am Michael Kuhn, and I serve as the Chief Communications Officer for moovel. Together with Melanie and Julia, Annett and Lara we are the ones responsible for communicating moovel’s vision, mission and products. moovel is a Mobility-as-a-Service pioneer and has been a key driver of innovative mobility solutions globally. In the light of creating a global mobility company with BMW Group, moovel is joining forces with ReachNow.

The COM team is in charge of corporate and product communications, social media, employee advocacy and events. The mobility sphere is undergoing significant change and one of the most exciting areas these days, and with moovel we are one of the key drivers of transforming urban mobility. Currently, 250 employees work in small creative teams in Germany and the US at four locations - Hamburg, Berlin, Stuttgart and Portland.

Breaking down concrete tasks for this position is not that easy, but that's what makes it so exciting. Here are some things we want to entrust you right away:

• Establish and expand our network to journalists
• Deputy press officer
• Develop and execute PR concepts for corporate and product communications, for Germany and selected markets
• Initiate, create and align press releases - also in collaboration with external partners such as Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG
• Create and align communication guidelines and Q&As as well as briefings for interviews
• Create presentations and speeches for the management board

• 3-5 years professional experience as PR or communications expert
• First experience as a press spokesperson
• Business level English, strong English communication and writing skills
• Fluency in German language
• Safe and good writing and structured work
• Passion for digital services and products
• Education: Study of communication management, PR / journalism or business administration with focus on communications
