Our engineering team is growing quickly as more and more customers adopt our platform. We are now seeking a senior technical leader to bring expertise and experience to our team. The Principal Software Engineer will be a technical thought leader, playing a pivotal role in CitySwift’s future growth, solving interesting and complex technological problems with real-world solutions. You will be part of a team of CitySwift engineers, working on our main products by adding new features using the latest technologies and tools, all while adhering to software development best practices. The Principal Software Engineer will be a technical thought leader, playing a pivotal role in CitySwift’s future growth, solving interesting and complex technological problems with real-world solutions. You must love to code and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest technologies (Kotlin, Java, React.js, Google Cloud) , get excited by and have the ambition to grow with the company as we scale up.

7+ years experience of hands-on software engineering, ideally while working with Java and/or Python, using Micro-services Architecture and relevant cloud services.

BS degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or related domains. MS/PhD degree is an advantage.

Excellent mentor and people leader with strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on software architecture.

Experience in leading Enterprise level software projects either as a Senior Software Engineer or Architect.

Experience in building cloud based production grade big data pipelines and working with big data technologies.

You have a strong record of delivering software with your own expertise and you have also delivered by guiding other Software Engineers.

You enjoy taking the lead on projects and owning them from inception to delivery.
