About the Role

We are in full expansion mode and seek to make our products relevant for cities around the
world and for its inhabitants. We want to convince international NGOs to support the roll-out
of our open-source and open data products to improve public transport by making journey
planning easier for transport users, and enable data-driven city planning for transport
officials. We want to raise funds for the activities of our organization.
We want to convince cities that their users can use public transport more effectively. We
want to empower local entrepreneurs and communities to build up their business with our
solutions. The Professional Fundraiser will work hand-in-hand with the Marketing &
Communications Expert and Administrative Coordinator and will directly report to the
Executive Board.

What You're Gonna Do

Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant funders, donors and
international NGOs such as AFD, GIZ, WRI, WB, EU.
● Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and
raise funds for the activities of the organization.
● Write funding proposals and send these to potential sponsors.
● Compile or develop materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations.
● Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests regularly
and keep updating them about the work of the organization.
● Convince the relevant decision makers about the importance of informal public
transport mapping and Trufi’s related services
● Organize or provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events for the
organization.
● Become a thought leader within and outside the organization in terms of our work
● Work closely with our sales team, Leonardo Gutiérrez and Denis Paz . Support
them with presentations and tenders.
● Help represent Trufi at relevant events and conferences.

About You

At Trufi, we are from many countries and speak many languages. For this job (and only for
this), we require good GERMAN LANGUAGE skills as a mandatory requirement, because
most communication in Germany is still in German.
Good written and spoken English and Spanish are an advantage
