About the Role

The Department of Geography of Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Research are looking for a full-time professor in socio-spatial aspects of urban design and spatial planning. The starting date for this position is October 1st, 2022.

What You're Gonna Do

This position entails teaching in the domain of housing, in design studio’s focused on socio-spatial issues and in socio-spatial research methods. The research should apply the most recent methods in spatial-ethnographic research, in participation and/or in the mapping of the use and appropriation of space, with a focus on residential environments and/or public space.

About You

You have a PhD degree in urban design, spatial planning, (engineering-)architecture, geography, urban studies or a related discipline.
