The Program Associate will be a part of the BICI team, reporting directly to the Program Manager - Design. You will coordinate with the broader team, which includes the Program Managers, the Design Lead, and the Program Lead.
In this role, you will support various projects in various regions by supporting the review, creation, and implementation of street designs, with a specific focus on cycling infrastructure. You will support the development of technical written and visual content, contributing to the development of a supplement to the Global Street Design Guide and helping organize capacity-building sessions and workshops.
More specifically, you will do things like:
Support the technical assistance work in the program’s selected cities
- Develop conceptual and technical drawings and sketches, review designs and documents for various street design and cycling infrastructure projects, and presentations in the BICI cities across the world.
- Support the development of a supplement to the Global Street Design Guide focusing on cycling infrastructure.
- Support workshops and training sessions using GDCI core materials (such as the Global Street Design Guide and the Designing Streets for Kids).
- Support other technical assistance work related to the program in collaboration with the BICI Team, as needed.
Project administration and programmatic support
- Help prepare reports and presentations to internal or external audiences to provide updates on the progress of the program and cohort of cities.
- Assist in summarizing and conveying complex information intelligibly in written, verbal, and visual form for various audiences.
