The Parks and City Greening Branch is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and maintenance of Council’s parks, open space and street trees. The Parks and City Greening Branch adopts a holistic approach, combining strategic foresight and operational excellence to enhance, protect and extend the city’s network of parks and green infrastructure, which is central to the city’s liveability, amenity and global brand.
As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Urban Forest and Ecology Team to plan, deliver and promote a range of projects under the Urban Forest Strategy and Nature in the City Strategy, including the Exceptional Tree Register.
You will work collaboratively with the Urban Forest and Ecology Team and other internal partners on various projects, taking an active support role in the day to day aspects of each project. You will use your interpersonal and communication skills to engage with external stakeholders and customers.
