The Urban Agenda for the EU develops innovative and collaborative solutions to tackle urban challenges.
With urban areas at its core, it relies on multi-level cooperation between Member States, cities, the European Commission and other stakeholders to help tackle social challenges, stimulate growth, liveability and innovation in European cities.
Over 100 Actions are being implemented by our 16 Partnerships, contributing to Better Regulation, Better Knowledge and Better Funding at the local, regional, national, and EU level, in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The objective of the present Call for Applications is to select one or more Thematic Partnership Officers (TPOs) who will provide support to the 2 new UAEU Thematic Partnerships.
The TPO(s) will play a fundamental role in the day-to-day work of their allocated thematic partnership(s). The new UAEU Thematic Partnerships are:

• UAEU Thematic Partnership for Water Sensitive City
• UAEU Thematic Partnership for Building Decarbonisation: Integrated Renovation programmes and local Heating and Cooling Plans

The EUI Permanent Secretariat is looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the allocated Thematic Partnership(s) field who can assist with a variety of administrative, organisational, and supporting tasks to enable the efficient functioning of the partnership(s).

Candidates have to submit an application form through EUSurvey along with a CV and potentially an English language certificate (C1 expected). All information available on our website

EUI PS estimates that, to fulfil the tasks appropriately requested a TPO will need approximately 160
days of work per year to support one UAEU Partnership (if he/she will be the only TPO for that UAEU
partnership). On average, this means 3 days per week. Nevertheless, (1) there will be periods with
more workload and periods with less workload and (2) EUI PS might decide to select multiple TPOs for
the same UAEU Partnership, which will need to work cooperatively.

The daily rate of TPOs are fixed at: EUR 450 / day (all taxes included) The payments will be financed in the framework of the EUI.
