The Master in City & Technology (MaCT) (1 or 2-year programme) is a unique programme oriented towards redefining the analysis, planning, and design of twenty-first-century cities and beyond. The programme offers expertise in the design of digitally enhanced, ecological and human-centered urban environments by intersecting the disciplines of urbanism and data science. Taking place in Barcelona, the capital of urbanism, the Master in City & Technology is training the professionals that city administrations, governments, industries, and communities need, to transform the urban environment in the era of big data.

The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) announces every year a Scholarship Competition giving our master’s applicants the chance to win partial scholarships covering 50%, 30%, 20% of the tuition fee of each IAAC’s Educational Programme.
- Project Brief
“Data Urbanism” – Develop a strategy for urban planning and design based on the overlapping of different types of data, for a city of their choice. The analysis and planning proposal must be based on a problematic that relates to the selected city’s relation to climate change.
