The NL Scholarship is the new national scholarship programme for international students. The scholarship amounts to € 5,000, and it is awarded to four students every year based on academic excellence. Please note that this is not a full-tuition scholarship.

All candidates who wish to apply for the fellowship need first to submit an application for the Master track of their choice. The following IHS programmes that will take place in the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 are eligible:

MSc in Urban Management & Development:

- Urban Environment, Sustainability & Climate Change
- Strategic Urban Planning & Policies
- Urban Housing & Land Justice
- Urban Digital Transformation & Innovation

The scholarship is suitable for students outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Bachelor or Master in the Netherlands.

Take a look at the scholarship eligibility criteria below to check if you qualify:

• Your nationality is non-EEA

• You are an excellent student according to the faculty's standard

• You are applying for a full-time bachelor or master at Erasmus University Rotterdam

• You didn't obtain a diploma at an educational institution in the Netherlands

• You can only apply for this scholarship once

• You meet the faculty's specific requirements that offer the programme you have applied for (go to the faculty's website for more information)
