‘Take on the future - Critically reflecting on Planning Visions’ is a two-day conference convened on 10 and 11 December 2019, in Rotterdam and The Hague, the Netherlands. The conference brings together scholars and practitioners in development policies, spatial planning and territorial governance from several European countries. It aims at identifying innovative planning approaches to a more resilient future and at debating their relevance for the recently published draft Dutch national environmental vision NOVI. Throughout two days, international experts in the fields of spatial planning and territorial governance will provide their outlook on the visions. A central mean to facilitate discussion will be international case studies and examples.

The Netherlands deserves a vibrant metropolis. A strong urban cluster of international stature, grounded in the delta of the Rhine and Meuse. We envision a beautiful, liveable, healthy and green metropolis before us. Visualizing, renovating, designing and reinforcing it been the mission of the Deltametropolis Association for more than twenty years. The association originated from governments, companies and individuals who come together in a shared mission: to stimulate metropolitan development. We are now more than that. We schedule, advise and publish. We bring new ideas together and organize sharp debates. We work on a wider variety of productions and provide services within our professional field.
