We are seeking full-time hires to join our team in Copenhagen.

Full-time · SPACE10 HQ

What is SPACE10?

SPACE10 is a research and design lab on a mission to create a better everyday life for people and the planet — proudly supported and entirely dedicated to IKEA. We solve diverse, complex challenges with partners and collaborators across the world. Our team is made up of 29 value-driven people with diverse skill sets from 11 countries. We lead with humbleness, playfulness and optimism.

What is the role?

We are searching for Creative Strategists who can operate with a focus on value-driven creativity in consideration of both people and planet — and strengthen the overall creative quality of our work. The ideal candidate has a strong visual eye alongside strong copy skills, and can fluently translate context, data, insights and imagined futures into compelling creative strategies that will inform project leads, technologists, designers, artists and stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone with emerging technology experience and who thrives in a highly collaborative environment such as a creative agency, design/technology studio or start-up. You have a history of crafting unique creative concepts that blend advanced technology with rich narratives. You work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to stimulate debate, identify key problems, generate ideas, pursue solutions and preserve the overall quality of the creative process. A strategic mindset and professional or cultural background from Asia or Latin America will benefit you greatly in this role, but is not a requirement.

You will report directly to our CEO, Kaave Pour.

What we want in a Creative Strategist

As a Creative Strategist, you play a key role by contributing to our Research & Design programs. You will assist project teams in conceptualising, refining and executing a creative strategy. The Creative Strategist works at the intersection between design, technology, research and community engagement to advise the project team on techniques, visual treatments, and maintaining the overall creative calibre of our work.

You are all about:

  • Being curious about research and design as a tool for improving both people’s lives and the planet’s health.

  • Excelling at working with teams of coworkers and partners, but able to drive initiatives forward on your own.

  • Advancing our work through a strong work ethic, and concise and direct feedback.

  • Ensuring value-driven work that speaks to a business-oriented audience.

Your qualifications:

  • Demonstrated industry experience from design or creative studios.

  • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates high-quality creative direction and conceptualising across a variety of projects.

  • Proven fluency in creative communication, advertising, technology and graphic design.

  • Proficiency at developing concepts and presenting them to a range of different audiences.

  • Rich imagination and exceptional eye for visual and conceptual details.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Well-versed in technology developments and landscape.

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Professional fluency in English.

What we offer:

A full-time contract with 5 weeks paid vacation, unlimited sick days and 5 additional paid days off per year. You’ll be provided an Apple computer, AirPods, and an iPhone and phone plan. Every day, we share vegan lunch. Salary is pending experience.

We encourage applicants from all over the world. We can assist with a work visa and relocation (including moving expenses and language/cultural guidance). At this time, we cannot offer legal assistance for relocating spouses or children.

We support flexible work hours and remote working policies. We know there is no one ‘standard’ family structure and we actively try to make the best working arrangement for yours. We encourage everyone to bring their whole selves to work, respect a healthy work-life balance and allow for empowerment in our projects.
