Yesterday was an inspiring first day at The Class Conference! We began with a tour of uhaus by Vita Group in Manchester, a BTR development that provides flexible serviced apartments for a diverse demographic. The standout features included expansive, multi-functional coworking spaces and a top-floor social area with amazing city views—even through the fog! A panel discussion with a Uhaus resident gave us invaluable insights into product-market fit, showing how real feedback has the potential to shape the evolution of these spaces. Next, at University Academy 92 (UA92) with Homes for Students and LOFT.uk we explored the challenge of scaling housing for their rapidly growing student population. Following a presentation and panel discussion, we broke into groups to brainstorm solutions—a powerful example of how bringing diverse industry perspectives together can inspire bold, out-of-the-box solutions that address real needs. This collaborative approach is essential to accelerating new ideas that shape the future! We wrapped up with a tour of the House of Innovation by LOFT, featuring modular furniture prototypes designed by A Designer At Heart Ltd in partnership with LOFT—a glimpse into the adaptable solutions transforming modern living. And with anticipation building for tonight’s official closing party hosted by LOFT, we’re set to end this year’s conference on a high note!
