2023 was a year of incredible events, and we have attempted to summarize some of them for you. We are grateful for your support and look forward to 2024.

“Voi has recently taken a pioneering step by becoming the first private company in Belgium to register a NeTEx dataset for alternative modes on Transportdata.be.” We’re thrilled with this post from Transportdata.be. Rental e-scooters like ours are safer than private e-scooters. Electric scooters available for rent often have larger wheels and better suspension. In addition, the steering ability and braking system are sharper, which makes the rental variants safer, according to research just published by Chalmers University, in Sweden. “They can brake much faster, and then it becomes easier to avoid an accident,” says researcher Marco Dozza. Safety is our top priority at Voi and we do all we can to keep our e-scooters safe, from regular maintenance checks and repairs and handling our batteries safely to minimise fire risk, to bringing in innovative new designs with safety features….such as larger front wheels. Today, we are thrilled to announce that Voi has successfully raised $25 million in an oversubscribed financing round. Additionally, we have secured additional debt financing for vehicles. Fredrik Hjelm, CEO of Voi, stated: "We are very pleased with the continued confidence in Voi shown in this financing round. With this, we will advance our mission to provide safe, sustainable and reliable micromobility for everyone. There is no doubt that micromobility is here to stay, and we will work closely with cities all over Europe to be the go-to micromobility operator. The micromobility industry is developing quickly with a maturing regulatory environment and improving margins, and the demand for our services continues to grow. That is a strong base to build an exceptional company, and we are committed to long-term collaboration with cities and public transport providers to realise our vision of cities made for living.
