About the Role

Buro Happold is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager Urban Climatologist (m/f/d) with a focus on the built environment, urban nature, and ecosystems to join our team in Berlin. What You're Gonna Do

In this position, you will be responsible for leading and managing climate-related projects, including team management and financial monitoring. You will work in multidisciplinary teams, attending meetings with architects, designers, authorities, and clients, while also actively seeking and securing new projects that lead to profitable work with a focus on the European market. What you will do: - Constantly research urban climate and bring knowledge into practice by being part of developing methodologies - Conduct evaluations, simulations, and calculations related to climate and its impact on the urban environment - Develop technical instructions and create reports and presentations with exceptional visual and grammatical quality - Provide consulting and planning services for urban projects related to climate, water, soil, and ecosystems - Work collaboratively with a range of professionals, including architects, designers, and clients, in multidisciplinary teams - Create technical analyses and reports to influence climate adaptation strategies - Actively seek new projects that lead to profitable work, with a focus on the European market

About You

What we expect: - Successful completion of a master's degree in ecology, environmental design, civil engineering, architecture, or a comparable field - Strong background in environmental analysis, evaluation, and climate modeling, urban scale simulations, data science, and Python programming - Further knowledge of urban climate, including urban morphologies, climate adaptation, and climate risk management - Qualifications in climate assessment and evidence of practical competence in their application - Existing industry network in Germany, preferably in Berlin - Fluent in German and English - Passion and enthusiasm for the built and ecological environment, supporting human outcomes, and an equitable distribution of values
