About the Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Railway Architect with specialized expertise in rail or metro station design (metro experience preferred) to join our dynamic team. As a Principal Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading and overseeing the design process for metro station projects. Your extensive knowledge of architectural principles, urban design, and transportation infrastructure will be instrumental in creating innovative, functional, and visually appealing metro stations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading design teams, exceptional project management skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of metro station design.

What You're Gonna Do

- Metro Station Design Leadership - Provide design leadership and direction throughout the entire lifecycle of metro station projects, from concept development to construction and commissioning. - Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and urban planners, to understand project goals, functional requirements, and design constraints. - Architectural Design and Planning - Develop and refine architectural design concepts for metro stations, considering factors such as passenger flow, safety, accessibility, aesthetics, and sustainability. - Create comprehensive design proposals, including plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visualizations, to communicate design intent to clients and project teams. - Project Management - Lead multidisciplinary design teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration throughout the design process. - Establish project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, and oversee their successful execution within budgetary and timeline constraints. - Technical Expertise - Apply your deep understanding of metro station design principles, urban planning, and transportation infrastructure to develop innovative and functional design solutions. - Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards for metro station design, including safety, accessibility, and environmental requirements. - Client Engagement and Communication - Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and understanding their needs and objectives. - Present design concepts, progress updates, and final proposals to clients, effectively communicating design intent, rationale, and benefits

About You

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Architecture or a related field. Professional architectural licensure is strongly preferred. - Extensive experience (15-20 years) in architectural design, with a focus on metro station projects. Taking part in large scale iconic projects in the region is a plus. - Proven track record of leading the design process for complex architectural projects, preferably including metro station design. - Strong knowledge of urban design principles, transportation infrastructure, and the specific requirements of metro station design. - Proficiency in architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. - Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams. - Strong conceptual and design-thinking abilities, with a demonstrated portfolio of innovative and successful architectural projects. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and visual, to effectively convey complex design concepts to diverse stakeholders. - Strong understanding of sustainability principles and their application in architectural design. - Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to metro station design. - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
