About the Role

As an Urbanist, you will contribute and develop strong, creative and innovative urban design and planning concepts supporting a breadth of project activities that include programming and analysis, conceptual design, preliminary design, final design, and production of final deliverables and reports. The ideal candidate will be able to work on projects of both urban design and architectural scale.

What You're Gonna Do

- Provide leadership in design work for urban planning and urban design projects and develop from feasibility through to detailed planning stage. - Ability to work across variety of sectors including mixed use, commercial, residential, hospitality and education as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals. - Design places where people want to be, help enrich our communities and contribute to our clients’ success. - Illustrate and present design solutions effectively through free hand sketching and computer aided design to convey intended vision to our clients including architectural design solutions. - Evaluate and take into consideration economic, social, regulatory, and physical factors affecting planning and design decisions for proposed projects. - Liaise with clients, government agencies and project stakeholders requiring excellent communication and people management skills. - Work closely with Directors and project team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality master planning projects within budget. - Inspire and promote collaboration across disciplines to spark innovation, motivate talent and support design experimentation across the off.

About You

- College Degree in Architecture required, postgraduate qualification in urbanism or similar preferred. - 10+ years of experience in a similar role. - Trained architect and experienced master planner with solid experience. - Exceptional design talent and technical knowledge teamed with a passion for seeking innovative and creative design solutions for ever challenging design propositions. - Thorough understanding of international planning standards and requirements. - High level of verbal, written and graphic communication skills including freehand sketching. - Proficiency in use of digital design tools including Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketch-up, VRay, Adobe Suite is a must. - Good team spirit.
