About Us

London Design Festival is an annual event established to celebrate and promote London as the creative capital of the world. The Festival provides a platform for the creative talent at work and creates a unique opportunity to visit over 400 specific events and activities over nine days, reflecting the diversity of world-class design talent throughout the city.

About the Role

Established in 2003, London Design Festival is one of the world's most influential global annual design events. London Design Festival is a key constituent of London’s Autumn creative season, alongside London Fashion Week, Frieze Art Fair and the London Film Festival. Its role is to celebrate and promote London as the world’s design capital and gateway to the international design community with a reputation as one of the largest and most exciting design events in the world. This year the Festival will run from 14 - 22 September 2019 with over 400 events and installations on offer across the capital, from a major exhibition programme at the V&A to citywide landmark projects, alongside 300 partners and design districts all participating across the nine day Festival. London Design Festival is looking for a Programme and Events Coordinator with relevant experience to assist on the coordination of the partner events programme and delivery of its core events at the V&A and at sites across the city. The role is a five-month, full-time position, which will involve working closely with the Festival and Partner Relations Managers. You will need an eye for detail and the ability to organise large amounts of information. You will receive and check the copy and images submitted by over 300 partner organisations for the Festival guide and website. Confidence and communication skills are key as you will be one of the main points of contact for Partner organisations, speakers and delegates running up to the Festival. You will assist with the event operations, guest list management and customer service for the Festival’s VIP medal dinner, talks programme and party at the V&A to ensure their smooth running from planning to execution. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, so excellent time management and an unflappable attitude is a must.
