What You're Gonna Do
- Develop traffic network models and algorithms to implement control strategies for reducing traffic congestion in cities
- Understand customer requirements and work together with various internal stake holders to showcase to innovative solutions to city stakeholders. Model travel demands and mode-choices to deduce key performance indicators for future mobility concepts
- Develop new concepts of multi-domain simulations that integrates traffic simulation with other Smart City domains (E.g. energy, security)
- Establish internal/external collaborations in the area of work (E.g. University relations, Public funded projects)
- Possess leadership skills to coordinate stake holders and develop business models
About You
- Ph.D degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Traffic computational/ Computer Science or related field)
- Strong technical background on development of novel active learning algorithms with focus on smart mobility domains
- Algorithmic focus on active learning for regression, safe exploration, Bayesian experimental design for machine learning models
- Familiar with vehicle charging infrastructure and connectivity (E.g. V2X)
- Proven programming skills in Python, Java , C++, Eclipse , GitHub
- Experience in traffic simulation frameworks like Matsim, SUMO, Vissim
