About the Role

Gehl in Copenhagen is seeking a Public Life Data Analyst & Product Manager. We are looking for a person with dynamic software development skills and data science background. As a bonus, the candidate has spatial design and design thinking experience. With these skills, the candidate would join an exciting team working on innovation at Gehl. The Gehl Innovation team is a small interdisciplinary group charged with forging partnerships, as well as pushing the boundaries of Gehl core services to other client types or markets than those in which Gehl currently operates. As an innovation team member you will be reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer.

What You're Gonna Do

To help ensure that technology, data, and digital tools are developed and tested on special projects, such as the redevelopment of the Gehl Public Life Data Platform, as well as the integration of software and data analysis products in projects across Gehl’s teams in Copenhagen, New York, and San Francisco. You will work closely with the CIO as a sparring partner on digital tools. Furthermore, your role will be to develop light prototypes and test products so that you are a “do to think” collaborator with all staff. Here the role will be to identify new concepts for digital innovation across Gehl’s 3 offices and then prioritize which initiatives should be explored and developed in more detail. This will involve identifying new concepts, the partners to develop them with, and the anchor in Gehl to ensure they are rooted in core Gehl values. As a Project and Product Manager you will need to work across the organization to develop the concepts and projects to a point in which they can be tested to prove their viability. The Product Manager is responsible for contact and coordination with outside consultants as well as the management budget and time of the project internally. In the role of Project Manager your role will be to manage the quality of product and process, as well as the deliverables within the project team. As well as to provide sparring and guidance to the people on the team and ensure and invite for an inclusive and creative dialogue.

About You

Your skills: - Software programming (core) - Data science and analysis (secondary) - Spatial design and design thinking (bonus) - Programming languages – Python, javascript, HTML, CSS, Ruby - Libraries – Angular JS, threejs, d3, numpy/pandas - FileTypes – JSON, GeoJSON, CSV, XML - Databases – SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL/PostGIS - Software – ArcGIS/QGIS, Rhino/Grasshopper, Revit, Adobe CS Your education & experience: - Urban Design, Sociology, Architecture, Data Analyst, Service Design - 2-6 years in applied software development and programming – ideally in the fields of urban design and architecture
