Space Syntax provides strategic, evidence-based consulting services in economics, planning, design, transport and property development.

We are recruiting for a Project Consultant to join the London team and help deliver Space Syntax’s unique, science-based and human-focused approach to the planning and design of buildings and urban areas.

Applicants should have a degree in a related field, such as Architecture, Planning, Geography or Economics and a post-graduate qualification in Architecture, Urban Design or Planning. You will be able to display excellent masterplanning and urban design skills, supported by one to two years’ experience in a consultancy environment. You should be aware of space syntax techniques, with experience in using GIS software, specifically QGIS. Experience in using ArcGIS and/or MapInfo is an advantage but not essential. You should be confident in statistical software applications such as RStudio and/or JMP, as well as 2D and 3D software packages, including AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Rhino/Grasshopper. Familiarity in applying specialist Space Syntax software is desirable but training will be provided. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with strong presentation and communication skills and excellent written English. Confident client interaction and project management experience is also essential. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

£25,000 per annum
