The Interdisciplinary Centre for Urban Culture and Public Space at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, TU Wien offers a temporary part-time predoc-position in the field of urban studies of urban culture and public space, with a strong focus on planning theory, feminist perspectives, intersectionality in urban research methods as regards social inequality and different types of analytical spatial mapping techniques and visual representation of urban research, and fields related.

- Finished Graduate, Diploma or Master Studies Degree in the fields of urban studies, (landscape) architecture, spatial/urban planning, political science, sociology or equivalent studies in Austria or abroad. - Foreign languages: English (fluent in written and oral language), German fluent in written and oral language). - Skills in organizing intercultural work, teamwork capacity as well as individual project management skills. - The candidate is expected to elaborate his/her doctoral project within the duration of employment at the TU Wien.

25 hours/week, from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2022. ln keeping with the Career Advancement Plan for Women, TU Wien aims at increasing the proportion of women, particularly in leadership roles and in scientific and artistic staff positions, and expressly encourages qualified women to submit expressions of interest.
