We are recruiting for a Project Consultant to join the London team to help deliver Space Syntax’s unique science-based, human-focused approach to the planning and design of buildings and urban areas.
Applicants should have a degree in a related field, such as Architecture, Planning, Geography or Economics and a post-graduate qualification in Architecture, Urban Design or Planning. You will be able to display excellent masterplanning and urban design skills, supported by one to two years’ experience in a consultancy environment.
You should be aware of space syntax techniques, with experience in using GIS software, specifically QGIS. Experience in using ArcGIS and/or MapInfo is an advantage but not essential. You should be confident in statistical software applications such as RStudio and/or JMP, as well as 2D and 3D software packages, including AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Rhino/Grasshopper. Familiarity in applying specialist Space Syntax software is desirable but training will be provided.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with strong presentation and communication skills. Confident client interaction and project management experience is also essential. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
This role is offered on a six-month fixed term contract with potential to extend. The starting salary for this position is £27,500 per annum (pro-rated).
