About Us
ULI - the Urban Land Institute is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members.
Founded in 1936, the institute now has over 40,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprise and public service.
As the preeminent, multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates the open exchange of ideas, information and experience among local, national and international industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better places.
About the Role
ULI is looking for up to ten (10) interns to work on a variety of initiatives and projects, including:
- Awards – Assisting with online research, participant outreach, and data management for the ULI Hines student competition and the ULI Global Awards for Excellence
- Center for Capital Markets – Researching issues in real estate and working with results of interviews with top industry leaders, both specifically related to Emerging trends research.
- Corporate Partnerships – Assist in identifying opportunities to raise new revenue to advance healthy, sustainable communities, through corporate prospect outreach, existing member support activities and improvement of internal resources.
- Digital Marketing – Assisting with digital project management, content strategy and publication, user testing, and staff training for four global website initiatives.
- District Councils – Developing creative communications, researching real estate trends, and assisting with event surveys.
- Foundation Communication – Providing writing, creative, research, and administrative support to the ULI Foundation team by assisting with creation and maintenance of various web, print, email, photo/video, and social media assets.
- Global Partnerships – Seeking an organized and detail-oriented intern to assist with the innovation and development of corporate pipelines and help to close opportunities.
- Greenprint – Assisting with climate mitigation research, report preparation, and data aggregation and analysis to help inform the Greenprint Annual Performance Report.
- Membership and Marketing – Supporting membership recruitment and retention efforts, including development of compelling email campaigns and digital advertising assets, and coordinating the creation of membership marketing “tool kits” for use by ULI’s District Councils.
- Urban Resilience – Seeking an intern with strong writing skills and an interest in climate resilience, sustainability, real estate, and urban planning to support the Urban Resilience program’s research, events, and technical assistance projects.
- UrbanPlan – Supporting the UrbanPlan team by developing the UrbanPlan web site and newsletter content, interviewing past participants, and supporting the updating of the curriculum including workshops.
About You
Strong candidates will be undergraduate or graduate students in a related field. Candidates should have good research capabilities. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
What We Offer
The ULI summer intern program will run from June 10 through August 7. Workweeks are 37.5 hours.
