About the Role
At Biomatrix we create Floating Ecosystems to transform degraded waterways into healthy living waterways. We are expanding our marketing approach to establish a network of Living Water Cities. We want to inspire cities and organisations to transform their waterways, creating floating water parks and green spaces within the urban waterscape.
The Environmental Water Management International Manager will contact and meet with leads that may include regulators, urban planners, water companies, neighbourhood groups, NGO’s, environmental activists, fishermen, community organisations, and local councils. The role will involve making contacts, giving presentations, networking, creating and hosting events and product launches, and providing technical water restoration information. The role will also include working on current projects including design, quotes, installation, and maintenance.
Objectives:
- To facilitate the transformation of historic hard-edged waterways into living green-blue ecological corridors for the mutual benefit of people and nature.
- To respectfully support market opportunities in The Netherlands & adjoining countries, allowing government-linked projects involving Councils, Research Institutes, Academic bodies etc to work with Biomatrix in their own language.
- To provide a bridge into Germany expanding in the potential Living Water Cities in Germany.
- To assist in the set up a local subsidiary company and European Assembly location to support continental projects most efficiently.
About You
Skills:
- The role will require an experienced professional who is outgoing and positive, and able to effectively network, meet with clients and give presentations.

- It is imperative that the person is capable of representing the company professionally, with exceptional verbal, written and presentation-based communication skills.
- The person needs to have a background in, and knowledge of, environmental work. They must be able to speak knowledgeably about water restoration science and have a technical and practical understanding of our engineered product.
- The person must be practical with hands-on skills in order to install our product and undertake project maintenance.

We will consider applicants from a related field. Suggestions include landscape architecture, environmental science, environmental studies, conservation, water or environmental engineering, sustainability, ecological design, marketing, geography, business management.
Candidates must be fluent in Dutch and English and ideally, we are looking for a candidate that also speaks German and/or French. The position can be based in the Netherlands within easy reach of travel hubs to access destinations across Europe.
