About the Role
Yale-NUS College, a collaboration between the National University of Singapore and Yale University, invites applications for an open rank, tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Urban Studies. Applicants may have a specialization in any relevant disciplinary area, although the analysis of urban processes should be central to their research and teaching. An interest in Asian urbanism and/or cities in a comparative perspective is desirable.
What You're Gonna Do
The successful applicant would join a committed team dedicated to the development and teaching of the Urban Studies major (https://urbanstudies.yale-nus.edu.sg/) and the Yale-NUS Common Curriculum (https://www.yale-nus.edu.sg/curriculum/common-curriculum/). They will also benefit from being a part of Singapore’s globally recognized community of urban scholars.
About You
Applicants must have a PhD and demonstrate an outstanding track record for their career stage. They should combine an active research agenda with a commitment to creative and effective undergraduate teaching. Familiarity or experience with the purpose of a liberal arts education would be desirable. Research achievements should include publications in leading peer-reviewed journals, commensurate with career stage. Senior applicants should be internationally recognized scholars.

The successful applicant will be expected to begin on the 1st July 2019. Salary, benefits, and leave policies will be competitive at an international level. Yale-NUS College is committed to supporting faculty research through grants, travel allowances and study leaves.
