About the Role

At the Technical Faculty of IT and Design, Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology a position as Research Assistant in Architecture is open for appointment from November 1st, 2020 or soon hereafter and until October 31st, 2021. The Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology's goal is the development of an innovative cluster of engineering-based environments for education and research which integrate creativity, engineering and technology within the disciplines of architecture, urban design, industrial design, digital design and interactive media. The department is a leading research and educational environment in Denmark that addresses the challenge of the interplay between creativity and technology, and develops new areas in research and education directed towards the end-user. We are looking for a Research Assistant to our Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology. The position is located at the section of Architecture and Urban Design. The position is based on interdisciplinary research and teaching in architectural design, architectural computation, robotics and associated engineering, with particularly focus on the creative and interactive aspects of robotic-based making. You must have experience with parametric design systems, robotic systems in architecture or design, and an aptitude for experimental research. It is an advantage if you can demonstrate a strong link between architectural thinking and advanced fabrication methods, also showing critical theoretical thinking within the field. The position is part of the research project Creative Robotics, with predominant research activities and associated teaching.
