What You're Gonna Do
The Director of Urban Innovation will support the Head of Urban Innovation in leading REEF’s urban planning, development, partnerships, and programs across the company and will report directly to the Global Head of Urban Innovation & Civic Partnerships.
- Support Head of Urban Innovation in leading a cross functional team to design and execute our urban planning, real estate, and physical product strategy and workstreams to transform parking lots and garages into micro-retail neighborhood hubs that provide a platform for entrepreneurs, local businesses, and cities to seamlessly bring products, services, and experiences to neighborhoods.
- Develop and maintain relationships with top influencers and thought leaders in the urban design, real estate, and urban innovation space.
- Drive urban innovation policy, thought leadership and partnerships.
- Support cross-functional campaigns to drive awareness around new urban innovation partnerships and programs.
About You
- 8-10 years of urban development, public policy, economic development and real estate with a track-record of work on difficult and innovative projects,
- Preference for candidates with experience at startups and high-growth companies.
- A deep understanding of business operations and product and how to create cross-functional embedded urban innovation such that “good drives growth” and innovation is embedded within the DNA of the organization.
- A sophisticated understanding of brand, communications, and media relations, and have demonstrable experience managing PR & Marketing campaigns and events that drive earned media coverage and brand awareness.
- Be a strong self-starter who is eager to make their mark in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization.
- Experience working across various regions and/or territories.
- Excellent organization, communication, writing and presentation skills: experience managing teams and working collaboratively across multiple levels, functions and regions.
- Must be capable of managing multiple issues and projects at once. Prioritization is key to success.
