About the Programme
Our summers are getting hot! Most cities are not prepared to manage heat and prevent impacts on wellbeing.
And have you heard of the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect? How seriously can it impact health? How does it relate to climate change? and to mobility? Do yo believe it being irreversible?
This course will give you answers to these questions, by exploring the UHI effect, its causes and the solutions that have emerged in recent years. Enjoy!
In this course, you will:
- Understand what is Urban Heat Island and the impacts on human health and wellbeing
- Identify the causes of UHI and its relationship with mobility and climate´s change.
