Veloforum is an annual interdisciplinary conference on the edge of transportation policy, sustainable development and civil society. The topic of this year’s Veloforum is “Cycling Economy – an Effect of Bicycle Transport on Urban Economy”. What is the benefit of a bicycle in cities and people who live there? What is the social and economic impact of cycling and investments in the development of cycling and/or walking urban infrastructure? In 2018, the 10th Veloforum Forum was held in Ivano-Frankivsk, which gathered more than 170 participants and speakers from 8 countries. 54 settlements of Ukraine were represented. In previous years, the conference was hosted by Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kryvy Rih, Lviv, Poltava, Evpatoria, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lutsk. We invite you to speak about your cycling projects and ambitions of your cities in the development of bicycle transport. We are interested in successful stories; analysis of cases of established cycling infrastructure, including its planning and use; coverage of bicycle transport system in a broader context of urban development; presentations based on facts, research, best practices, references to original sources. Presentations can be dedicated to cycling infrastructure and culture, research, educational activities and promotion of bicycles, traffic safety, bicycles as an integral part of urban mobility, cycling planning, innovative cycling solutions, public-private partnership projects, cycling tourism development projects, ecology, technology and other topics which will be interesting to the audience of Veloforum. The Organizing Committee retains the right to independently determine your presentation format and time or reject the presentation without further explanation.
