About the Event

Join us for a Danish-Spanish dialogue on how architecture can contribute to building sustainable futures, leaving no one behind. Urban sustainability, in its most holistic definition, can never be achieved without a collective act. This collectiveness is possible only by including all members of society, yet our current policies and practices in architecture do not yet meet this threshold of inclusion. Through a cross-cultural dialogue we explore how Spanish and Danish architects and urban planners play a role in creating environments that are either inclusive or exclusive. What can we learn from each other when designing buildings and cities with inclusion in mind? Join the talk with insights from João Albuquerque, Partner BIG Barcelona (DK), Eva Ravnborg, Partner Henning Larsen Architects (DK), José Luis Vallejo, Founding partner ecosistema urbano (ES) and Lola Domènech, Partner Lola Domènech (ES). The talk will be moderated by journalist, Michael Booth. Program 6.00 pm Introduction 6.15 pm Session 1: Lola Domènech & Eva Ravnborg 6.45 pm Session 2: José Luis Vallejo & João Albuquerque 7:15 pm Session 3: Joint talk with all four panelists. 7:45 pm Final remarks and networking in the garden

About Us

Danish Architecture Center is Denmark’s meeting place for architecture, design and urban culture. As the national center for architecture, we work in a global perspective to promote the development of Danish architecture, construction and urban development in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable direction. We invite everyone inside to participate in the discussions on how to create better architecture and cities for everyone – through exhibitions, events and much more. DAC is a project organization founded in 1986 and funded through a public-private partnership between Realdania and the state. The state is represented by the Ministry of Enterprise, Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing
